TECHNOLOGY DIVISION
The Group's Information and Communications Technology Division is represented by the unifiedcomms group which is listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Stock Exchange under the name of Unified Communications Holdings Limited (Stock Code: U18)('UCHL'). UCHL was incorporated on 27 December 2002 (under the name of Unified Communications Holdings Pte Ltd and subsequently converted into a public company on 14 January 2004) as the holding company for unifiedcomms businesses prior to the group's IPO on 19 February 2004. ASB is the holding company of the unifiedcomms group with a 58.3% controlling interest in UCHL through its wholly-owned subsidiary company, Worldwide Matrix Sdn Bhd.
As an investment holding company, UCHL's investments to date are primarily concentrated on software and technology solution businesses that address the mobile telecommunications sector.
UCHL businesses share one common objective - to provide performance optimisation solutions to mobile telecommunications network operators and service providers in South East Asia, South Asia and the Middle East & Africa.
UCHL's businesses, comprising the unifiedcomms group, are currently organised into three business units:
- A mobile value-added-services business unit (VAS BU) - addressing content driven mobile VAS solutions, systems and managed services;
- A mobile technology business unit (TECH BU) – addressing mobile messaging and signalling solutions, systems and managed services; and
- An operation support systems business unit (OSS BU) - addressing operation support system solutions, systems and managed services.
